Invoicing and accounting
General purpose of processing
We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will explicitly ask for your consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.
Automatically collected data

In certain cases, Johnson Petfoods may be required by law to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by the government. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will resist this within the limits that the law allows us.
Retention Periods
We retain your data as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request for erasure. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices with your (personal) data; we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have created as a result of your assignment.
Security
The security of personal data is very important to us. We ensure that your data is well protected with us. We continuously adjust the security and pay close attention to what can go wrong. However, transmissions over the internet can never be fully secured or free from errors. We do take appropriate technical and organizational measures, commensurate with the risks of misuse, unauthorized access, unwanted publication, alteration, or destruction of personal data, and to protect your personal data. We also ensure that third parties and affiliated companies that process personal data on behalf of Johnson Petfoods take adequate security measures and operate in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
Data Breaches
If it unexpectedly occurs that Johnson Petfoods accidentally or intentionally loses your personal data or that your personal data comes into the hands of unauthorized third parties, then there is a data breach. The data protection officer of Johnson Petfoods will report this data breach digitally to the Dutch Data Protection Authority within 72 hours from the moment Johnson Petfoods discovers the data breach. It will be reported: what the nature of the breach is, which authorities or persons can be consulted to obtain more information about the breach, what measures are recommended to mitigate the negative consequences of the breach, what consequences the breach may have, what measures have been taken or proposed by Johnson Petfoods to remedy these consequences. If the breach poses a high risk to the person/people involved, they will be informed by Johnson Petfoods. A data breach is also documented internally by Johnson Petfoods in the 'data breach register' to learn from it and to take measures to prevent such a data breach in the future.
We have taken the necessary administrative, technical, and organizational measures to ensure a level of security that is appropriate to the specific risks we have identified. We protect your personal data against destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to personal data that is transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed.
